Of all the live music in Birmingham happening this April this had to be the standout gig. I wasn’t lucky enough to attend but this morning I was chatting to some of our guests who had gone and they said guitarist John Smith gave his best performance ever.

John Smith, guitarist
I first came across John when he was supporting David Gray on tour and have been a huge fans ever since. He released his Map or Direction album earlier this year and after hearing he was performing in Birmingham again I’ve been playing it in the office for the last few days and I’m very pleased the rest of the team have it enjoyed listening to him as much as I do.
Last night he was playing at the Glee club in Birmingham city centre (only 1km away/less than 5 minutes walk from Premier Apartments Birmingham). If you’ve never been to Glee before its a fantastic venue – quite intimate so you really feel part of the performance: every time I’ve been I’ve had a brilliant time.
Little bit jealous I didn’t get to see John perform last night but he is on again soon and you can catch him at his Manchester Concert on Friday April 30th.
Next time I’ll try to give you bit more notice so you don’t miss the best gig of the month!
